Responsibilities include:

  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts.
  • Diapering and feeding infants and toddlers.
  • Helping children to have snacks, lunch and rest.
  • Submit reports to supervisors and assist in keeping records.
  • Maintaining Government Compliance.
  • Assist in housekeeping and maintaining daycare equipment.

The Chestnut Tree Preschool offers continued training and development opportunities for individuals at various stages of their career and employees pursuing additional education, reflect practices to leadership training, to co-op placements and sponsored apprenticeships for students and young people.
