Miss Sarah leads our team of qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators and Educational Assistants in our Beamsville Childcare Center, by providing staff and children leadership and oversight support in our day to day operation and How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years. A professional learning resource guide about learning through relationships for those working with young children and families. It is intended to support pedagogy and curriculum/program development for early years programs by supporting children’s learning, development, health, and well-being for centres licensed by the Ministry of Education.
Miss Sarah is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and has a deep passion for the children in her care, especially the young early learning children, where she is particularly talented at creating a safe, stimulating environment for young children. Miss Sarah has been with the Chestnut Tree Preschool since 2021.
Sarah cultivates caring and responsive relationships with the families she serves at The Chestnut Tree Preschool. Curriculum, pedagogical approaches and wellbeing in the learning environments are extremely important to her and our classrooms reflect this.
Miss Sarah has experience working in different preschool settings, working with at-risk youths and coaching gymnastics for school aged children. This profession is a passion of hers and she continues to explore the professional development that's offered here in the Niagara Region.
With over 5 years of early childcare industry experience, Miss Sarah brings considerable expertise to our programs. Prior to joining The Chestnut Tree Preschool, Miss Sarah was involved in various childcare service positions including experience working with children with special needs, implementing age-appropriate activities in a variety of settings to nurture and challenge children to learn. Miss Sarah is a graduate Algonquin College, she holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Graduated in 2020. She is also a graduate of Niagara College Welland in Recreational Therapy. She is an active member of and in good standing with the Registered College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario.
